Floating Cover Teacher
South Manchester
Start: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, Temporary, Long term sickness cover
Salary: £500-£600 per week
Our client school in South Manchester is looking for a strong qualified teacher to join the schools covering support team. The successful teacher will be an enthusiastic teacher with the flexibility and ability to work across a range of subjects and year groups. Teachers from all subject specialisms are welcomed for this role.
Work will be pre prepared by the absent teacher and the successful teachers' role will be to deliver this set work to the appointed classes as and when required. Providing 1:1 and small group support will also be required in addition to assisting in SEN and behaviour support. We are looking for a resilient teacher with strong behaviour management skills and the ability to adapt to challenging situations.
Our client school has been on an amazing journey over the past few years, leading it to be nationally recognised for its continuous improvement. In their most recent Ofsted inspection, the school received 'Good' in all areas including leadership and management, behaviour and safety of pupils, quality of teaching and achievement of pupils.
After an £11.6m investment last academic year the school opened the doors to their new and redeveloped, world-class educational campus in September 2017. Their new campus has an additional teaching building, The Durie Building, which incorporates a Theatre, Art, Fashion and Dance studios and brand new Science laboratories. There is also a new £1m multi-sport facility which includes a full-size, artificial rugby and football pitch and other redeveloped sports facilities. They also have a new cafe and dining facilities, an additional Food Technology room and refurbished ICT, Business and Modern Foreign Language classrooms.
With an innovative curriculum and high expectations in terms of commitment and hard work, the school strives to ensure that all students can achieve their full potential.
