Are you on the lookout for a new and exciting role for September? Are you in search of a long-term position in a welcoming school, where you can apply your experience and an ambition to make a difference? Then, this job may be just for you!

An excellent opportunity has arisen in a central Blackburn school for an experienced Teaching Assistant with a commitment to providing an inclusive learning environment, where all children are encouraged to be the best that they can be. The Head Teacher has highlighted that they are in search of the following:

  • Level 2 qualified Teaching Assistant or higher

  • Recent experience of supporting children with lower level learning in EYFS or KS1
  • Hard working, hands-on and willing to get stuck in to the position of general teaching assistant
  • Friendly and will fit in well with the team of staff at the school
  • Available full-time (8:30 - 15:30) from September 2019

The teacher of the class is looking forward to having another pair of hands to support the newcomers of the school and to help provide a happy, friendly setting for the new children. The children of this smaller than average school are well-behaved and are eager to learn; although there are some individuals who present challenging behaviours. Accordingly, a positive outlook towards managing behaviour and an ability to develop good relationships with the children is important.

Since the school first began recruiting temporary staff through Teaching Personnel, they have employed many teaching assistants through the agency. The team of staff are extremely welcoming and cannot do enough to make new members feel at home and supported.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
