Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting young learners with special educational needs (SEN)? Teaching Personnel is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity at a welcoming Primary School in Fleetwood, where you can make a real difference in the lives of children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

The Role:
As an EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage, providing tailored support for students with special educational needs. Your role will involve supporting children in both individual and small group settings, ensuring they have access to learning and feel supported throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support for children with SEN, ensuring they can engage with the curriculum

  • Work alongside the class teacher to implement personalized learning plans and strategies

  • Support children in developing social, emotional, and academic skills

  • Assist with classroom activities and manage behaviour to promote a positive learning environment

  • Observe and monitor the progress of students, offering feedback to the class teacher

  • Work with parents, staff, and outside agencies to ensure consistent support for each child

The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children with special educational needs, ideally within the EYFS setting

  • Is patient, caring, and committed to supporting children’s development

  • Has excellent communication skills and works well within a team

  • Is flexible, proactive, and able to adapt to the needs of each child

  • Holds a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
