EYFS Teacher

  • Accrington (BB5)
  • GBP90-GBP135 per day
  • Full-time (Monday-Friday 8.15am-3.30pm)
  • Start date: April 2021

A Nursery attached to a Primary School in Accrington has approached Teaching Personnel in order to quickly source a Nursery Teacher on full-term basis. The role will commence from April 12th until the end of the academic year, with the potential to carry on into the new academic year. The set working hours are from 8:15 – 15:30, Monday - Friday. There is an additional member of staff to support your teaching, qualified at Level 3 and with plenty of experience.

The Deputy Head teacher in the school is keen to interview a number of applying candidates in the coming weeks in order to quickly appoint a suitable practitioner. Within the interview, the applying candidates will be expected to talk about their experience in Nursery Teaching or in a Reception class and also confidently give examples of behaviour management techniques as well as the knowledge of the EYFS Curriculum.

The position will be to undertake the role of a EYFS Teacher which includes planning, delivering and assessing to meet the needs of the children in the class. The school have stated that a fully qualified teacher would be preferred however they would be willing to consider Newly Qualified Teachers with relevant experience for the position.

There are a number of children who attend the school from socially deprived backgrounds and with this there are a number of challenges. Many of the children need additional support with speech and language development. The Nursery/EYFS unit consists of a team of highly experienced and hard working individuals who are committed to giving their children the best opportunity to progress through school.

Job Specification

Essential requirements:

-          Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

-          Prior experience of teaching in the Early Years

-          Thorough, up-to-date knowledge of a range of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies and how to implement them effectively

-         Excellent understanding of the EYFS curriculum and a range of assessment requirements and arrangements

-          High levels of drive and energy

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
