  • QTS and evidence of developing the EYFS Curriculum
  • *LEYLAND*

A Nursery attached to a Primary School in the centre of Leyland have approached Teaching Personnel in order to quickly source a Nursery Teacher to work 4.5 working days in the week. The role will be to start in September 2017 to cover maternity leave. The set working hours are from 8:45 – 3:45 Monday - Friday. The unit is set up with a mixture of children working in the morning and then in the afternoon. There are also three additional members of staff to support your teaching, all qualified at Level 3 and with plenty of experience. The Deputy Head teacher in the school is keen to interview a number of applying candidates next week in order to quickly appoint a suitable practitioner. Within the interview, the applying candidates will be expected to talk about their experience in Nursery Teaching or in a Reception class and also confidently evidence behaviour management techniques as well as the knowledge of the EYFS Curriculum.

The school is located central to Leyland town centre, with this there are a number of children who attend the Nursery from socially deprived backgrounds and with this there are a number of challenges. There are a proportion of children with English as an additional language which often hinders early progress in social and communication skills. Pay for roles of this nature are very competitive and vary from £90- £140 per day depending upon experience.
