EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant | Supportive Primary School | Colliers Wood

A supportive & friendly Primary School in the Borough of Merton, Colliers Wood, are on the hunt for an EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant for an ASAP start. This is a full time, and long-term post.

The SENCo is eager to find a forward thinking, ambitious and knowledgable graduate to join his team ahead of the new academic year. You will be working across both Nursery & Reception supporting a range of children with special educational needs (SEN). These can vary from the following: Autism (ASD), Dyslexia and ADHD.

  • Every Monday – All Staff School Training
  • Safeguarding Awareness Training
  • Autism Awareness Training
  • Speech & Language support – Different learning styles
  • Working alongside therapists & councillors

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Supporting a variety of SEN; Autism (ASD), Dyslexia and ADHD
  • 1:1 and group support – In and out of the classroom
  • Working alongside a range of professionals and SENCO
  • Attending weekly training sessions
  • ASAP Start – Long-term & full time
  • Located in the Colliers Wood

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Degree from a reputable University required
  • Must have an outgoing, forward-thinking and creative personality
  • You must be willing to learn and be proactive in multiple roles
  • Strong understanding of SEN is required
  • Previous SEN experience in either a working or personal level is desirable

  • Additional training provided throughout
  • All staff support on another throughout
  • Located in the Borough Merton, Colliers Wood
