Seasonal Exam Invigilators Needed – Bury, Bolton & Salford
Flexible Work | Secondary Schools | Opportunities for Ongoing Roles

Are you looking for flexible, rewarding work within education? We're currently recruiting Exam Invigilators to support secondary schools across Bury, Bolton and Salford during the busy exam seasons throughout the academic year.

This is a great opportunity for individuals seeking part-time or seasonal work in schools, with the potential to take on additional roles as a Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant for those looking for more consistent work or to gain broader school-based experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students during internal and external examinations

  • Ensure exam protocols and regulations are followed at all times

  • Distribute and collect exam materials efficiently

  • Support students in entering and exiting the exam hall calmly and in an orderly manner

  • Report any irregularities or concerns to senior staff promptly

You may also have the opportunity to:

  • Work as a Cover Supervisor delivering pre-set lessons in the teacher’s absence

  • Support as a Teaching Assistant in classrooms across various subjects and year groups

Ideal Candidates Will:

  • Be reliable, punctual, and have excellent attention to detail

  • Remain calm under pressure and manage a quiet exam environment

  • Have strong interpersonal skills and confidence working with young people

  • Be open to flexible work across different schools in the local area

  • Previous school experience is desirable but not essential—full training will be provided

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
