Are you an English graduate with aspirations of becoming an English teacher?

Are you determined to help pass on your subject knowledge to students at GCSE level?

Teaching Personnel are currently working exclusively with a Secondary within the Burton upon Trent area who are looking to implement an English Mentor scheme in the new academic year. This will begin as of September and run right through to the GCSE exams. The school are known for actively helping support students in to a career in education and have their own Teacher Training Programme.

• Position starting from September 2017

• Opportunity to work full or part-time

• Competitive salary

As an English Mentor, you will be responsible for working with small groups of students to help them prepare for their GCSEs. So a relevant degree and passion for delivering English intervention is essential, with previous paid or voluntary work within education beneficial.

The school are working closely with Teaching Personnel to make sure that all schools are well staffed in the new academic year with English Graduates, meaning that you can tailor the amount of work you undertake to your own needs.

This is a perfect opportunity to experience the full range of teaching experience. The Head of Department at the school offer an incredibly supportive environment and are happy to coach mentors in preparation for the sessions.
