English graduate required in Outstanding Manchester, M11 Primary School.

  • Full time Literacy interventions teacher required in a “Outstanding” Manchester school.
  • Supporting pupils in KS2 with their literacy work, making sure they fully understand the task in hand.
  • Delivering engaging and innovative intervention lessons to low ability focus groups.

An excellent opportunity has arisen at an Ofsted Outstanding primary school in Manchester M11 for the position of Literacy intervention teacher. The school are seeking a English graduate who can utilise their degree knowledge to support and enhance children’s learning. The school is looking to fill this position to start after the October Half Term.

As a literacy interventions teacher, you will spend your morning in KS2 supporting the classroom teacher with literacy lessons and making sure all pupils are focusing and fully understand the task in hand. During the afternoon as the literacy interventions teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and innovative literacy lessons to focus groups with low ability. It is important that you plan resources that cater for differentiation as some pupils will be more capable than others.

This role would be extremely beneficial for an enthusiastic English graduate who is looking to peruse a career in teaching in the near future. It would be an advantage if you have previous experience working as a teaching assistant in primary schools, however this is not essential.
