Catholic school in Wandsworth hiring teachers to work in the English department - GBP145 to GBP215 a day

Full time English teachers needed at a Catholic school near Wandsworth for maternity cover – starting after October half term

A highly rated Secondary school is currently recruiting for full time English teachers to work as maternity cover starting after October half term. Teachers must be fully qualified and have experience teaching up to key stage 4. Interviews are commencing the week beginning the 7th of October, apply now!

 

Teacher requirements

  • Teachers must hold UK recognised teaching qualifications, e.g. QTS or PGCE

  • Experienced teaching English language or literature up to key stage 4

  • Additional experience will strengthen your application, e.g. extra-curricular activities, working with SEN students, real world experience

  • Require an Enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service

  • Must be able to produce a 6 year career history with two educational based references

 

English teaching position details

  • English teaching position with preparation and planning

  • A Catholic school in Wandsworth

  • Teaching key stage 3 and key stage 4 classes, with opportunities to take key stag 5 classes

  • Pay rate between GBP145 and GBP215 a day depending on experience and education

  • This role is a maternity cover position

  • Full time position; 5 days a week, 8:30 am to 3:25 pm

  • Starting after October half term

 

The Catholic school in question has a strong and decisive senior leadership team that strive to continue improving the quality of education in the Secondary school. Although the school have a large focus on the core principles of Catholicism they put equal importance on secular subjects to ensure students get a full and rounded education.

Ofsted have rated the secondary school ‘good’ consistently for over 5 years noting that disadvantaged pupils at the school make similar progress to their peers and are afforded equal opportunities.
