English Teacher- Trafford

Teaching Personnel have just been approached by a Catholic secondary school located in Trafford to recruit for an English Teacher. This full-time position (scheduled to start after the October half-term) represents an excellent opportunity for an English Teacher to join a small school and make a significant impact upon the English department.

Specific duties:

  • Teaching English to Key Stages 3 & 4.
  • To develop English lesson plans in accordance with the national curriculum models.
  • To maintain order and discipline among students whilst promoting safety and compliance with school rules and guidelines.
  • To promote and be sensitive to the Catholic ethos of the school.

Job details:

  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS (£22,917- £38,633)
  • Two term vacancy
  • School located on the border of Trafford with excellent accessibility to the surrounding areas via the nearby M60 motorway.

Due to an upcoming planned absence within the English department, the Head teacher of this popular secondary school is seeking to appoint an English Teacher initially on a supply basis.

The incoming English teacher will join a small English department consisting of five dedicated specialists who ensure English is an engaging subject for all pupils. The English department ensure pupils make great progress within the subject and GCSE results are consistently higher than the national average.

Our partner school is smaller in size compared to the other schools within the local area, with just under 600 pupils on roll. In a recent Ofsted inspection, pupil behaviour was highlighted to be good with them being proud to attend the school. Pupils are largely from White British with 35% being from other backgrounds.

How to apply-

If you are an English Teacher seeking a new challenge and wish to work in a highly supportive school, please submit your full CV to Paul via the link below.
