English teacher (Northampton)

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking an enthusiastic and passionate teacher of English to join a Secondary school based in Northamptonshire in September 2019. The school continues to develop the potential of all students with a team of dedicated staff at the heart of the academies success. As the second highest performing school in Northamptonshire, the academy continue to aim for excellence in all that they do and as a result they are ranked in the top 7% of schools nationally. The Academy became a National Teaching and Support school in 2015, meaning that they provide excellent training and development opportunities to teaching staff as well as other schools. Ofsted also graded them an outstanding school in their most recent inspection.

The school provide a diverse English curriculum which is popular among students. They are looking for a teacher to join them on a full time basis, teaching English across key stage 3 and 4 students. NQT's and unqualified teachers are welcome to apply for this role. The successful applicant will be able to manage behaviour confidently and engage effectively with students of all abilities. As part of the English department you will be required to monitor student progress and ensure that pupils achieve their full potential and continue to succeed in the subject.

You will be working in collaboration with Teaching Personnel, the UK's market leader for education recruitment. As well as ongoing guidance and support from a sector specialist consultant, you will have access to our CPD academy where courses can be completed at a subsidised cost. There is also the opportunity of a permanent contract offer, as well as competitive rates of pay and refer a friend bonus schemes.
