English Teacher - Swadlincote - Immediate start

  • Part Time, start ASAP, on going to cover a long term absence 
  • 2 days per week - Monday and Friday
  • NQTs and experienced Teachers  encouraged to apply and will be considered
  • Salary to reflect MPS/UPS post AWR 12 working weeks (GBP24,373 - GBP40,490)

The school based in the South Derby area, require a temporary teacher of English to join them to cover a long term absence until the end of the spring term, possibly longer. Despite the role being temporary, they are seeking to recruit an ambitious practitioner who has exceptional subject knowledge, is innovative, drives excellence and is available full-time and on a long-term basis. 

Due to this academy being smaller then the average academy, the English department consists of small team of KS3 and KS4 specialists who work hard to achieve a good atmosphere where staff work in collaboration with one another, support one another’s CPD and share work load. As a member of the English team, you will be required to participate in the all inclusive enrichment programme they offer every student, a programme of which they are proud of.

To be considered for the role you should:

  • Have UK QTS with along side a degree in an English related subject
  • Have expert knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
  • Have a good sense of humour, be able to build excellent relationships with staff and students alike
  • Be an excellent communicator and be adaptable to provide an all inclusive mathematical programme
  • Have excellent classroom management skills demonstrating good pace, progress and reflective learning
