Teaching Assistant

A primary school in the M19 area of Manchester is seeking an enthusiastic, caring and committed Year 5 Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning, development and overall progress within a Key Stage 2 setting.

As a Year 5 Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting pupils both in small groups and on a one‑to‑one basis, helping them access learning and stay engaged throughout the school day. You will assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery, contribute to creating a safe and encouraging classroom atmosphere, and offer additional support to children who may have specific needs or require extra guidance. The role also involves being an active part of the wider school community and upholding the school’s values in everything you do.

The school is seeking someone with experience working in a primary setting, ideally within Key Stage 2. You should bring a genuine passion for helping children succeed, along with strong communication skills, a proactive approach and the flexibility to work effectively within a team. A relevant TA qualification, such as Level 2 or Level 3, or equivalent experience, is desirable.
