Graduate Teaching Assistant – Wigan | Primary & Secondary Schools

We are currently recruiting graduates to work as Teaching Assistants across a range of primary and secondary schools in Wigan and the surrounding areas.

These roles are ideal for anyone considering a career in education and looking to gain practical, hands-on experience in the classroom before progressing into teacher training.

Role are available immediately or from September and offer a great way of securing paid work experience prior in preparation for a PGCE/teacher training course.

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Delivering intervention sessions to support progress
• Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and behaviour management
• Supporting revision sessions and exam preparation where required
• Contributing to the wider school environment

Requirements:

• A recent graduate (any subject considered)
• An interest in working within education or pursuing teaching
• A proactive and reliable approach
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with pupils
