Graduate Teaching Assistant – Wigan | Primary & Secondary Schools
We are currently recruiting graduates to work as Teaching Assistants across a range of primary and secondary schools in Wigan and the surrounding areas.
These roles are ideal for anyone considering a career in education and looking to gain practical, hands-on experience in the classroom before progressing into teacher training.
Role are available immediately or from September and offer a great way of securing paid work experience prior in preparation for a PGCE/teacher training course.

Key responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Delivering intervention sessions to support progress
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and behaviour management
- Supporting revision sessions and exam preparation where required
- Contributing to the wider school environment
Requirements:
- A recent graduate (any subject considered)
- An interest in working within education or pursuing teaching
- A proactive and reliable approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
