We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to take on full-time Teaching Assistant roles across Wigan, starting as soon as possible.

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting students—particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN)—helping them reach their full potential. If you have experience or a genuine passion for working with SEN students, this is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities

Provide focused 1:1 support and deliver small group interventions
Assist with the planning and delivery of engaging, tailored lessons
Support students’ academic, emotional, and social development
Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour

Are passionate about helping young people succeed, especially those with SEN
Show empathy, patience, and resilience
Have strong communication and teamwork skills
Are adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn
Live in or can comfortably commute to Wigan and surrounding areas

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
