Teacher of English

Start: September 2021

Full Time Permanent

Salary: MPR-UPR GBP25,714 - GBP41,604

The North Hampshire based school are seeking a teacher of English, on a full-time permanent basis to commence in September 2021.  NQT’s and more experienced teachers of English are encouraged to apply.  You will be joining a supportive, cohesive team, with many experienced practitioners working alongside new entrants to the profession.  The school are looking to appoint an individual who is, or has the potential to be, an outstanding practitioner and has the necessary skills. attributes and passion to engender a love of learning English Language and Literature.  NQT’s and more experienced Teachers of English are encouraged to apply. 

Ideally you will:

  • Be a dedicated leader keen to engage students with your passion for the subject
  • Share and enforce the school’s values of ‘Enjoy, Respect and Achieve’
  • To plan, and prepare courses for interesting, challenging and motivating lessons
  • Have high expectations of self and students to raise achievement                                                              
  • Develop students’ resilience and independence through motivated school principles and monitor their personal and academic growth
  • To use appropriate differentiation in delivering a broad balanced curriculum for students

This was demonstrated in 2018-2019 when the English team achieved their best set of results with 86% grade 4+ in English Language and 82% 4+ in English Literature.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
