Secondary Teaching Assistant (Full-Time, Potential Permanent)
Location: Sefton Area, Merseyside

Salary: £95–£100 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

Teaching Personnel Liverpool is currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistants to join a Good-rated Ofsted secondary school in the Sefton area. These full-time roles offer the opportunity to make a real difference in students’ lives while gaining valuable experience in a welcoming and well-supported school environment. There is also strong potential for the positions to become permanent for the right candidates.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education, enjoy working with young people, and want to support students in reaching their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide in-class support to teachers across a range of secondary subjects.
- Work with small groups and individual students to reinforce learning and improve engagement.
- Assist in creating a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Support students with additional learning needs where required.
- Help maintain classroom organisation and behaviour management in line with school policies.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- A passion for supporting young people in education.
- Experience working with secondary-aged students (school-based or relevant youth work experience desirable).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
