Job description

Are you passionate about English literature and language? Do you have a knack for inspiring students and fostering their love for reading, writing, and critical thinking?

We are currently seeking three enthusiastic and dedicated English Teachers to join an Academy in Weston-super-Mare on a full-time basis. As an English teacher at this academy, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives, helping them develop their communication skills, analytical abilities, and appreciation for literature.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering engaging and interactive English lessons to students across various age groups and ability levels.
  • Developing and implementing creative lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational objectives.
  • Assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and supporting their academic growth.
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and motivated to succeed.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and contribute to the overall development of the English department.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English literature and language.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Experience in teaching English at the secondary level is desirable but not essential.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to engage in ongoing training and learning opportunities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
