A secondary school in the Warrington area is looking for a full time English teacher to join their English department in January. This full time English teaching position is to start on Monday 6th January and will be for the remainder of the academic year fulfilling an upcoming maternity cover. The successful English teacher will be required to teach across both English Language and Literature up to GCSE level following the AQA specification. Therefore any prior experience of teaching this syllabus is highly desirable but not essential.

The school are looking for an English teacher that can commit to the entire duration of the maternity cover starting on Monday 6th January taking on additional responsibilities of planning, marking and support with intervention where required. The successfully appointed English teacher can be of any experience level from newly qualified or more experienced in their teaching career with applications encouraged from all levels. Highlights of this English teaching position:

  • Full time English teacher required: KS3 and KS4 AQA syllabus
  • Pay will be dependent upon payscale and experience; following the teacher payscale:

GBP24,373 - GBP40,490 per annum (new pay-scales to be followed)

  • Payrolled on a supply basis via Teaching Personnel for the duration of the placement
  • Duration: January until the end of the academic year fulfilling a maternity cover
  • Possibility to secure a school based contract depending on the right candidate given the availability in the English department

The school is always open to teachers of all experience levels and are open to taking on a NQT where they can support them accordingly. They are looking for a passionate and confident teacher of English who can hit the ground running teaching KS3 and KS4 in both subjects.

This is an excellent secondary school located in Warrington with a fantastic reputation in the area of Warrington. The school is located a short walk journey away from the local train station and very well serviced by local buses. The A56, M6 and M56 are also nearby making the school accessible for those travelling by car. The school also has a large secure on site car park on site as well as fantastic facilities which are accessible to staff and students alike.
