Our partnered secondary school in the Sale area of Trafford is looking to recruit an English teacher to cover a maternity absence from the start of January until the end of the academic year. As an English teacher you will need to have experience teaching up to Key Stage 4 and have the benefit of working with a supportive English department. The Sale based secondary school has a reputation for providing school teachers a platform to work with highly engaging students.
Highlights of the English Position:
**Full-time English teaching position from January to end of Academic Year
**Teaching KS3 & KS4 with highly engaging students
**Paid to Qualified Teacher scale ranging between £23,720-£39,406
**Collaborating with a supportive English department to learn and develop from
**Experience teaching both English Language & Literature with high achieving school
The sale based secondary school is looking to prioritise their students to continue to achieve high results from their Attainment 8 score. The school is looking for a vibrant English teacher to engage with their students and ensure they are taught at the highest level. This secondary school based in Sale is close to transport links, with trams and buses within a walking distance from the school.
As a new English teacher for the secondary school, you will be collaborating with the supportive English department to work with the schemes of work set by the Head of English. Whilst your timetable will mainly consist of Key stage 3 classes, you will work with students who are currently doing their GCSE's. This will include lessons based around their coursework and exams. Your position will include teaching lessons in both English Language and English Literature, so you will need to have experience in both these fields. As a qualified teacher you will need to organise and pre-plan the lessons in advance as well as taking on all marking responsibilities.
