A co-educational secondary school situated in the South Manchester area of Chorlton is looking to recruit a passionate subject specialist of English to start with them at the beginning of the new academic year.

This is a full time, long term English teaching position required to cover an upcoming maternity cover due to start on Wednesday 4th September 2019 given the due date being in the summer break.

The successful English teacher should be able to teach both English Language and English Literature up to GCSE level following the AQA curriculum. The school is keen to emphasise that they are open to shortlisting and appointing an English teacher of any experience level from newly qualified to those more experienced. Given the nature of the vacancy, the school are looking for an English teacher that can commit to the entire duration of the maternity cover; September 2019 to July 2020 (full academic year).

  • Maternity cover: English Language and Literature teaching position
  • Full academic year 2019/2020 required on a full time basis
  • Pay will be dependent upon payscale and experience level: MPS1 - UPS3 (£23,720 - £39,406)

It is therefore easily accessible for any English teachers that travel via public transport aswell as local buses regularly servicing this school. The school boasts fantastic facilities with a very large on site secure car park as well as a well resourced English department.
