Job description

At Teaching Personnel, we are looking to recruit an English Teacher for one of our secondary schools in Huddersfield.

Do you have a passion for literature, a knack for language, and a desire to ignite young minds with the power of words? ECTs and Fully Qualified teachers with some experience teaching in the UK and a DBS on the update service, are welcome to apply.

Contract: Full-time

Role Overview: As an English Teacher, you will have the opportunity to instill a love for literature, language, and communication in students through creative and thought-provoking teaching methods. You will plan and deliver high-quality lessons that foster critical thinking, communication skills, and a deep appreciation for the power of language. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about English education and committed to empowering students to become confident and articulate communicators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic English lessons that cover a range of topics, including literature, language analysis, and writing skills.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves and engage with challenging texts and ideas.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students, ensuring that all learners are supported and challenged appropriately.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students and promote active participation in learning.
  • Assess students' progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their growth and development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
