English Teacher – Secondary School in Cheadle
Start Date: September 2025 | Full-Time | Paid to Scale (MPS/UPS)

A welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Cheadle is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time position, suitable for both experienced teachers and ECTs looking to begin their career in a supportive and high-achieving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Inspire students to develop a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking

  • Differentiate teaching to support a wide range of student abilities

  • Track student progress and contribute to raising attainment across the department

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop schemes of work and share best practice

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK

  • Excellent subject knowledge and a flair for creative, inclusive teaching

  • Strong classroom management skills

  • Commitment to professional development and school improvement

  • A team player with a positive, student-centred approach
