English and Media Teacher

'Good' School in Derby - English and Media Teacher - Starting NOW!

A secondary school located in Derby (and near to Nottingham) are looking for an English teacher who can also teach Media (70% English, 30% Media timetable) for the full academic year. Interviews/trial days are being held ASAP. The secondary school need a fully qualified and experienced teacher who can teach classes up to key stage 4.

Requirements:

• Applicants would need UK recognised teaching qualifications (PGCE or QTS)
• Experience teaching English and Media at key stage 3 to key stage 4
• Would be required to mark work, plan and prepare lessons
• Teachers would need to prepare and create innovative lessons that engage students, in line with the National curriculum

The Role:

• This is a 4 day per week role until Christmas (1 term) and a 5 day per week role after Christmas (2 term)
• Starting ASAP, this is a temporary role until July 2020
• Based in Derby, this is a lovely secondary school rated as 'Good' by Ofsted as they noted "Pupils are polite, confident and courteous. They respect those who have views that differ from their own. Pupils have a strong belief in equality"
• The attitude of the staff is maintained as the school's leadership afford a healthy work/life balance
