Full time and or part time English and Maths Tutors required for a Salford based faith Secondary school.

With the new academic year fast approaching the transition period for young pupils from Key Stage 2, to Key Stage 3 increases the demand for additional support for low achieving pupils in order to bridge the gap between them and their peers.

This Salford based RC faith school is seeking to appoint numerous temporary English and Maths tutors to provide additional support to the incoming year 7 pupils across Key Stage 3 who are achieving below National averages.

  • Full time and or part time English and Maths Tutors required, from September 2018.
  • Opportunity to work in an Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' RC Secondary School.
  • Must hold subject specific qualifications and or experience to be considered for the English and Maths tutor positions.
  • Access to CPD training programmes.
  • Initially on a temporary supply basis with the potential to progress.
  • Earn up to £1200 per month.

This well respected Secondary school has been consistently graded 'Outstanding' through Ofsted, across all areas. Noted for their dynamic approach to innovative teaching and earning, the incoming English and Maths tutors can expect to develop a strong foundation for the understanding and practice of education.

The role will include but not be limited to;

  • Planning and preparing activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
  • Extensive subject knowledge is essential; supporting within the English and Maths department will be highly advantageous as experience will be highly applicable.
  • Confidence in ability to build positive relationship with pupils and promote a Growth Mind-Set.
  • Deliver English and Maths sessions at Key Stage 3 level to pupils on a 1:1 basis, in small groups and deliver pre-planned sessions to low achieving pupils.

Located in Salford this RC faith school with just over 700 pupils on roll, aged 11-16, is ideally situated to be accessed via the M60 2, as well as the surrounding areas; Bury, Bolton and Wigan. There are also excellent public transport links readily available.
