SEND Teaching Assistant – Hull

We are working with an OFSTED ‘Good’ school to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant to support learning across the school.

The school is a specialist provision for learners aged 3-19 with PMLD and physical disabilities. You will be working in a small class with a high staff: pupil ratio, supporting pupils and helping them to engage in lessons and learning.

We are looking for candidates who have experience working with people of any age who have learning difficulties, physical and/or mental disabilities, ASC/Asperger’s, complex needs. You don’t need classroom experience to be considered. Equally important is a positive, can-do approach to the role.

What does the role involve?

  • Working 1-1, 1-2 and with small groups of pupils
  • Helping pupils to engage and participate in lessons
  • Support learning and development across the school

The school is a really friendly and supportive place to work, with plenty of opportunities for career development and upskilling yourself.

Hours: 8.30-15.30, Monday-Friday (term time only).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
