Are you looking to work with children and young people with Social Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties? Teaching Personnel are working alongside specialist provision based in Hull are looking for a Support assistant to help with the management of children ages 5-18.

Your main role will be supporting with SEMH throughout the school day, keeping them engaged in learning and ensuring they have a safe and calm environment for learning. Due to the ages of the children those with experience of the primary curriculum are highly desired.

To apply for this position, you must have the following:

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
  • Relevant qualifications
  • Have the ability to work with children with SEMH needs and help them overcome barriers
  • An understanding of behavioural difficulties
  • Have a different range of strategies to work with SEMH students of their learning.


The role is due to commence ASAP and will be required until the end of the academic year, with the potential of being extended. Due to the role being required on a long term basis, we are able to negotiate your daily rate on your behalf, starting from £10.77 per hour.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
