Education Support Worker
Salary £23,940 per annum

Permanent/Full Time
Teaching Personnel have an excellent opportunity to work with an exceptional school based in Devon. The school are looking for a dedicated and passionate education support worker to join their team. This school have 60 pupils aged 7-19 and have a small group and individualised learning for pupil who have SEMH needs.
THE PERSON
- Experience of working with children and young people
- An interest in supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning
- Ability to inspire, motivate and empathise with young people
- High levels of motivation, commitment and enthusiasm
- Good general standard of education to Level 2 including GCSE Grade 4 equivalent in English and Maths
- You will be required to work between sites and at other outreach locations in the North Devon area therefore you must have access to a vehicle with insurance for business use.
THE JOB
- Provide individual support and supervision for pupils, encouraging their engagement in the learning process, working towards agreed aims and objectives.
- Plan and deliver parts of the learning or intervention programme for the young people.
- Work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils as part of a professional team contributing towards meeting the academic, social, behavioural and emotional needs of young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
