Early Years Teaching Assistant

EYFS Specialist Teaching Assistant Required in Brighton:

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a 3 form entry primary school in brighton that are looking to employ an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant, on a full time basis, to start after February Half Term and work until the end of the academic year July 2020.

This role will require you to be pro-active in your approach to the children's learning and think on your feet. The children you will be working with aren't currently classroom based, but are within the schools specialist support unit which caters for 15 other children and is headed up by a highly experienced SEN Teacher of 8 years. You will specifically be working with two children who have just joined the school and are in Reception. The pupils both have moderate learnining difficulties. To be considered for this role you will need the following experience:

• Experience working with children aged between 3 - 7 years old
• Both pupils have Autism so you need to able to understand and empathise with their needs
• You need to have a pro-active approach
• Be able to think on your feet
• Ideally you will have a Level 2  or 3 qualification in supporting children
