Early Years Teaching Assistant
Job description
Are you a nurturing and patient Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Chorlton is seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a non-verbal child in their Reception class.
About the Role:

Full-time position (Monday to Friday)
-
Starting September 2025 and continuing for the full academic year
-
Working closely with a non-verbal child, providing tailored communication and learning support
-
Supporting the child’s social, emotional, and academic development
-
Collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO to implement EHCP targets
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
-
Experience working in Early Years settings
-
A calm and caring approach with strong communication skills
-
Experience supporting non-verbal children or those with communication difficulties (e.g. PECS, Makaton or similar is desirable)

A genuine passion for making a positive impact in a child’s life

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
