Teaching Personnel are working closely with a Primary School in Peacehaven to recruit an Early Years Teacher for terms 5 and 6; there is the possibility of a permanent role for the right candidate.
The school was graded 'Good' by Ofsted in their most recent inspection and has a good reputation in the community. They pride themselves in providing only the best education and pastoral care to their pupils, putting the wellfare of the children first at all times.
"The school meets its aim- where childhood matters and learning is meaningful" Ofsted April 2016.
For this role all applicants must have UK QTS and recent experience in the Early Years Curriculum.
The successful candidate will have the ability to:
• Plan and teach teacher led lessons where appropriate following the EYFS Curriculum
• Create exciting child led learning opportunities that consolidate learning
• Use assessment and observation to identify very able children and ensure these children are adequately stretched
• Identify children that need extra support to achieve a good level of development
• Encourage a high level of vocabulary by encouraging children to think and talk about their learning
• Effectively manage support staff to ensure maximum pupil engagement
• Provide a happy, safe and stimulating learning environment
• Keep regular and informative observation notes and regularly make assessments using these
• Build excellent relationships with the pupils and their families
