Speech and Language (SLCN) support in Salford Primary School (M5)
January start
Are you a passionate Speech and Language graduate who is looking to utilise the theory and experience you have gained in an educational environment or Teaching Assistant with SLCN experience?
Teaching Personnel are working closely with a large 3 form entry Salford (M5) primary school that are looking to add a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant to their team. The Salford school cater for a higher than average number of children with special educational needs, specifically speech and language needs in the early years. The school headteacher is looking to add the experience of a teaching assistant or speech and languae graduate to work on a 1:1 and small group basis with pupils aged from 4 - 7.
- Speech and Language Graduate or trained Teaching Assistant e.g. Elklan
- Support pupils with development of their speech and language
- Experience in a residential or educational setting is sought after
You will ideally be a talented Speech and Language Graduate with a strong academic record and a dedication towards supporting children with their speech and language needs or an experienced teaching assistant with SLCN experience. You would be working alongside the Salford school's SENCO. You will also be working with outside organisations to create personal plans for each pupil. You will have to undertake independent assessments of pupils and deliver sessions to help develop pupil's speech and language.
The school will invite prospective candidates into to school to meet the SENCO and work within their EYFS.
