Director of Finance required at excellent Multi Academy Trust based in Plymouth.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within a brilliant Multi Academy Trust that Teaching Personnel’s Permanent Workforce Resource team are partnered with. The trust is looking to appoint a Director of Finance on a full time, permanent basis. Please see the key details for this position below.
Post: Director of Finance
Location: Remote working (South West) with the ability to travel to Plymouth
Salary Range: Executive Pay Scale: £88,500 rising to a maximum of £99,000 per annum
Hours/Contract Type: Full time, Permanent; 52.14 weeks per year

For this Director of Finance position, the trust is open to discussing flexible working with the possibility of reduced hours, job share, compressed hours, staggered hours or working from home.
The Director of Finance is responsible for providing strategic leadership of the Trust’s financial operations, ensuring strong and robust financial management across all schools, and that statutory and regulatory requirements are met. The Director of Finance is the Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Executive Team. Reporting into the CEO, the post-holder will play a pivotal role in securing sustainable growth for the Trust in line with the Trust’s Strategic Development Plan.
In order to be considered for this Director of Finance role:
- You will be someone with extensive experience at a financial leadership level who feels an affinity with our values and our vision.
- Hold membership/Chartered Fellowship status of a professional accounting body (CCAB:CIPFA/ACCA/ICAEW) with a proven track record of continuous professional development
- Hold an MBA or equivalent
- Specialist and/or generalist degree qualification in Finance, preferably an MBA
- Have experience, evidenced by a robust track record of success, leading high-quality financial services within an organisation of 500+ employees
- Have experience of strategic leadership within the Education sector is beneficial.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
