The Head teacher of an oversubscribed secondary school in the North of Preston is looking for a Design Technology Teacher to start in the new academic year. The successful candidate will join the ever-growing Design Technology Department. The Department need an additional Teacher due to the predicted number of students to start in September 2020.

At Key Stage Three, pupils study in three areas of Technology: Product Design, Food and Nutrition and Textiles. They will spend around 2 hours a week in Technology during years 7, 8 and 9.  This enabling pupils to participate in all aspects of technology thus extending their knowledge and developing new skills in preparation for Key Stage 4 courses.

The incoming Teacher must have experience teaching KS3/4 Product Design and Resistant Materials.

Due to school closures (COVID19), the school have asked Teaching Personnel to do all their permanent and temporary recruitment for the new academic year. All first interviews will be held via Microsoft TEAMS.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
