Due to an open vacancy, Teaching Personnel are looking for a teacher of Design Technology to join our client school located in South Manchester. The successful teacher will join our client schools Design Technology department in September 2019 and will required on an ongoing basis. Whilst this is a temporary position in the first instance, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to earn a school contract through an introduction by Teaching Personnel.
The post will involve teaching Design Technology at KS3 cross all subject areas with the ideal candidate possessing a KS4 specialism in either Resistant Materials or Food Technology. The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge and will be up to date with the KS3 and KS4 curriculum. They will be able to forge positive professional relationships and will work in the best interest of all students.
Our client school is located in South Manchester and is a large 11-19 secondary school. The school has approximately 800 pupils on roll and continues to grow year on year. The school has extremely high expectations of teaching and learning and aims to provide the skills necessary to ensure that every student reaches their full potential. Senior leadership at the school are committed to ongoing professional and personal development and as a result of this, the school is the secondary provider of choice for the local area. The school is located just a 15 minute drive from the city centre and is easily accessible via public transport and Metrolinks from the city centre.
