Design and Technology Technician - Salford

Are you an experienced Design and Technology Technician looking for a new role from September 2019?

Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside one of our partner academies in Salford who are seeking a Design and Technology Technician from September. The successful Technician will be based in the large Technology department, supporting Resistant Materials teachers and other staff within the faculty. This is a fixed term position for the full academic year, with the opportunity of earning a permanent contract thereafter.

  • Resistant materials Technician, full time position in Salford
  • Supportive and well facilitated Design Technology department
  • Located in Salford Quays with good transport links to surrounding areas
  • September start for suitable technicians with previous experience
  • Rate of pay in line with experience (up to £15 per hour)

Our client school is a smaller than average 11-16 academy located in the Salford Quays area, close to a tram line for prospective candidates who are on public transport. The school moved to their new multi-million pound and modern campus in 2012, and due to an increased number of students currently enrolling, a restructuring and expansion of staff is now taking place. The academy was graded as 'Good' by Ofsted on their most recent inspection, and have appointed a new principal in January as they take the next steps on their journey to become 'Outstanding'. This exciting post of Resistant Materials Technician will require you to prepare resources for lessons at the direction of teachers, using machinery relevant to the subject (previous experience essential), and supporting pupils in class.

"We are seeking to recruit an technician to work within our Design and Technology department from September 2019 to join our fantastic staffing team in ensuring high quality teaching, learning and student achievement. We are very proud to be recognised as a 'Good' school on our journey to 'Outstanding'." Principal.

The Principal and Head of Department are looking to meet with prospective candidates as soon as possible. If you would like to apply for this post as a Behaviour Support Assistant please apply via the link below or send an updated CV to Chris Beckenham at Manchester North Secondary directly, alternatively call on the number provided for further information.
