What: Design and Technology Teacher

Where: Central Manchester

When: Starting January 2020

Why: Supportive department; excellent facilities; diverse and welcoming environment

Who: YOU

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a Design and Technology Teacher at one of their client schools in Central Manchester for a January start. If you are looking to develop your Design and Technology career with a new challenge, then we want to hear from you.

Taking up this Design and Technology post will place you in a school that provides a wide range of educational opportunities, both academic and extra-curricular, that are designed to equip pupils with the necessary tools to open up their futures along whichever path they choose to tread. As a member of the Design and Technology department, you will be teaching across KS3 and KS4 curriculum, covering a range of content centred around resistant materials. Through a range of design tasks and structured projects, pupils are enabled to develop expertise in a variety of material areas, as well as enhancing their independent learning and decision making skills.

Underpinning everything the school endeavours to do are its principles based around showing respect, displaying dedication and striving for aspiration. The aims of the school are to provide a teaching and learning environment suitable for students to fulfil their full academic potential, and to create a working atmosphere to enable students to develop their full potential in every sense. Located close to the A6 in an area well serviced by public transport, you will have no problem getting to work, whether you have your own transport or not.

The position is a full time role starting at the beginning of January 2020 and is a temporary to permanent role. There are regular CPD and career progression opportunities available, and you would be paid in line with your scale point MPS-UPS. This Design and Technology teacher role would be well suited to both experienced practitioners and newly qualified teachers.

To be eligible for this Design and Technology position you will need to be available for full time work, have QTS in the UK, suitable school-based references and be able to apply for a fully enhanced DBS certificate.

If this Design and Technology Teacher role is something that you would be interested in pursuing, please contact Harry at the Manchester Secondary Branch, or register your interest by uploading your CV via the link below.
