Are you a Design and Technology teacher looking to secure a fixed term position ahead of the new academic year?

If so, please see the details of our client school located in Bolton who wish to appoint a Design and Technology teacher who holds experience teaching Resistant Materials, Product Design and AQA Art 3D (desirable/not essential).

  • Full time position teaching Design and Technology from October 2019
  • Covering maternity leave - Until summer 2020
  • Ofsted graded Good Secondary school located in Bolton
  • Teaching DT to KS3/4 and AQA Art 3D
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS based on the 2019/2020 scales
  • Supportive department with excellent senior management team

Due to a gap within their department, the Head of Technology of this high achieving secondary school has the opportunity for any Technology teacher looking to secure a fixed term position ahead of the new academic year. Due to the nature of this position our client school are able to offer the incoming teacher a temporary post from September/October 2019 until the end of the 2019/20 academic year.

The incoming Design and Technology teacher will be required to lead a timetable consisting mainly of Resistant Materials and Product Design, with elements of 3D Art (AQA). The ability to teach all areas to GCSE level is advantageous but not essential.

The school is an 11-16 mixed comprehensive secondary school situated within the Bolton close to Westhoughton region. The school is average is size with around 1000 pupils on roll and is oversubscribed due to its excellent reputation. The vast majority of children are of white British heritage and the number of pupils with learning difficulties or a statement for special needs is below the national average.

Located on the outskirts of Bolton, the school is easily accessible as it is only a short drive from the M61 and has direct transport links to the surrounding areas; Bury, Wigan, Chorley, Salford and Wigan.
