Are you a Qualified Teacher? Do you have experience teaching the secondary curriculum in Design and Technology (particularly in Resistant Materials)? If so, Teaching Personnel are looking to hear from you!

Teaching Personnel are currently supporting a secondary school in the Burton upon Trent area with their recruitment for a Design and Technology Teacher. We are currently looking for a either a Fully Qualified or Newly Qualified Teacher for a Design and Technology role, to begin after the Easter break. The role will be full time until July 2020 with the potential to be made permanent.

  • Full time Design and Technology Teacher  
  • Starting after Easter – April 2020 to July 2020 in the first instance
  • Pay in line with teacher pay scale MPS/UPS - GBP24, 373 - GBP40,490 (in line with AWR)
  • Teaching a full timetable across KS3 and KS4
  • Modern and established 11-16 secondary school with ‘outstanding leadership’ – Ofsted
  • Post available to Teachers of all levels  - desirably PGCE with QTS

The role:

The Design and Technology Teacher will deliver a full timetable in line with the current national curriculum, including Key Stage 4 Resistant Materials. The incoming teacher will be comfortable delivering lessons to all pupil abilities and be flexible in your approach to teaching, along with good classroom management. The successful teacher will engage in planning and marking, departmental meetings, internal training and parent’s evening when required. 

The school are looking for a dedicated teacher to join their team who will deliver inspiring and engaging lessons to encourage pupil to reach their full potential in the subject ahead of the summer examinations and beyond. Located in South Derbyshire, this school has close by public transport links and is located near the A38.
