Our partnered 'Good' secondary school in the central Manchester area is looking for a Design Technology teacher to join their Technology department on the 3rd September 2019.

The successful Design Technology teacher is required to cover a pending maternity leave due to start at the beginning of the new academic year and continue for the duration of the 2019/2020 academic year.

The successful Design Technology teacher should be experienced in teaching Resistant Materials, Graphics and desirably Electronics as well as having a general knowledge of the whole Design Technology department. The timetable of this position is made up of Resistant Materials and Graphics in the main but any experience of teaching Textiles, Electronics and Food Technology and Nutrition is beneficial.

This is a full time, long term teaching position in a highly supportive Technology department for the duration of the upcoming academic year with the view being that the right candidate will progress onto a school based contract following an introduction through Teaching Personnel.

Highlights of this Design Technology teaching position:

  • Pay will be dependent upon teacher's payscale, ranging from £23,720 - £39,406
  • Maternity cover: Full time teaching position in Design and Technology with a focus on Resistant Materials
  • Opportunity and plan to progress onto a school based contract following a short introduction via Teaching Personnel
  • Gain an introduction to this 'Good' secondary school situated in the central Manchester area

The school is located in the central Manchester area with transport links being very regular; the local metrolink services this school often. The central Manchester train stations are also commutable from this Good secondary school.

As a reputable school and one which centres on students' education ensuring each child has the opportunity to flourish; the school are looking for a Design Technology teacher that is an expert in their subject field with a passion for teaching. The Design Technology department in this school is very well resourced with a highly supportive Head of department. The successful Design Technology will become part of a successful and supportive team of 8 Art and Design Technology teachers.

  • Teach Resistant Materials and Graphics with the opportunity to teach Electronics, Textiles and Food Tech (dependent upon experience) at this reputable Manchester based secondary school
