1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant (No Experience Required)
Location :Gloucestershire (GL14)
Contract: Full-time, term time only
Pay: £89–£100 per day

Teaching Personnel is recruiting compassionate and dependable individuals to provide one-to-one support for pupils with special educational needs.

This rewarding opportunity involves supporting children and young people aged 5–16, helping them feel understood, encouraged, and confident in their learning environment.

You may work with pupils who experience:

  • Mental health challenges

  • Physical disabilities

  • Communication difficulties

  • Behavioural needs

No formal qualifications are required — your empathy, patience, and willingness to learn are what matter most


About the Role

Start Date: ASAP (continuing throughout the academic year)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, term time only
Hours: Typically 8:30am–3:30pm (hours may vary by school)
Progression: Opportunity for a permanent contract


Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver dedicated 1:1 support to enable pupils to access learning

  • Collaborate with the class teacher to tailor activities to individual needs

  • Support pupils in line with their Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)

  • Build a consistent, trusting relationship that fosters safety and motivation

  • Assist with classwork, daily routines, and emotional regulation


About You

  • Passionate about supporting children and young people

  • Calm, patient, and adaptable in your approach

  • Strong communicator ️

  • Experience with children is beneficial but not essential — full training and ongoing support provided

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
