A renowned secondary school in Bolton is seeking a full time Design and Technology teacher to join their welcoming staff team from January 2020.

Due to an upcoming gap within the department the Headteacher is seeking a skilled practitioner with a genuine passion for teaching and learning. If you are seeking an exciting opportunity to join a welcoming staff team located in the heart of Bolton, please see the details below.

-          Full time Design and Technology Teacher, January 2020.

-          Must hold QTS alongside relevant degree level qualification or equivalent within Design and Technology.

-          Applications are welcome from both experienced and newly qualified teachers as relevant support will be provided for the successful candidate.

-          Excellent location, Bolton is easily accessible via the M61 motorway.

-          Pay in line with MPS/UPS GBP24, 373 - GBP40, 490.

The Design and Technology department at school aims to offer pupils the opportunities to develop a range of ideas through innovative teaching, offering a broad and balanced curriculum which is thoroughly enjoyed by pupils across KS3/4. The incoming post-holder you can expect to work within stat of the art facilities with access to modern resources.  The department boasts several newly refurbished workshops, catering rooms and product design studios.

As the successful Design and Technology teacher you will be required to;

-          Plan, prepare and deliver lessons designed to foster a passion for the subject and develop skills pupils require to progress.

-          Organising and setting up equipment and materials for practical lessons.

-          Up to date knowledge of Health and Safety regulations in line with monitoring, maintaining resources and equipment ensuring it meets all relevant requirements

-          Operate and order materials, preparation and labelling of equipment and facilitate exhibition work.

The school is located at the heart of Bolton and is easily accessible  via the M61 and the surrounding areas, which include Bury, Wigan, Salford and Chorley. Public transport links are also easily accessible, with the Bus and Train station a few miles away from the school.
