The role involves leading and teaching the Computer Science curriculum for 11-16-year-olds, expanding the curriculum, and contributing to a supportive academic environment. Responsibilities:

  • Lead, engage, motivate, and challenge students for academic success in Computer Science
  • Maintain high teaching standards and contribute to school-wide initiatives
  • Collaborate with a specialist team and support digital literacy and e-learning programmes
  • Oversee the development and implementation of the Computer Science curriculum
  • Contribute to departmental efficiency and student welfare
  • Uphold school policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related subject (preferred)
  • QTS or equivalent
  • Knowledge of the GCSE curriculum in Computer Science
  • Teaching qualification or equivalent experience
  • Awareness of safeguarding practices
  • Strong IT skills
  • Ability to inspire students and manage classrooms effectively
