This lovely school right by Crayford station are seeking a new KS2 teacher to join them from January 2019. The school are hoping to find a teacher to take over their Year 5 class but are happy to be flexible on year group for the right candidate.

The school is part of a federation of three all-through schools each at the heart of its community that share a vision for the education of children and young people. The all-through environment of the school allows the ethos of the school to be embedded at a very early stage keeping expectations high from the start. The federation allows for sharing of staff expertise and brings opportunities for sporting competition and extra-curricular activities.

Whilst the school is larger than average it works hard to maintain a family feel with the pupils, parents and staff all on good terms, working in partnership to get the best possible results for the students. The school is popular with both parents and children, bringing stability and self-esteem to all involved, serving over 1500 pupils in total. Staff and students are proud of the school with first-class purpose-built facilities for learning and recreation.

The Head Teacher leads by example and his belief in making the academy the best it can be is echoed at all levels. The school was graded 'Good' in its most recent Ofsted inspection and a lot of the progress in the school comes from the real emphasis additional training and support for all staff. A range of programmes are available to help improve teaching at both school and academy level.

If this sounds like the right school for you, the school's shortlisting criteria include:

  • Experience teaching in a KS2 environment (preferably upper KS2)
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the UK Curriculum
  • UK QTS
  • A keen interest in continuous professional development
