We're Hiring: Cover Supervisors & Teaching Assistants (Secondary Schools) | NG16, NG17, NG18 & NG19 | Full-Time
Do you have the confidence and passion to work with teens in a fast-paced school environment? We’re looking for reliable, enthusiastic Cover Supervisors and Teaching Assistants to support secondary schools across NG16, NG17, NG18, and NG19.
Whether you’re experienced in education or ready to take your first step into the classroom, this is a fantastic opportunity to work with young people and truly make a difference.
Location: Secondary schools in NG16–NG19
Availability: Full-time (Monday to Friday)
A vehicle is preferred – you’ll be travelling to schools within the local area
What’s involved?
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll supervise lessons in the teacher’s absence, ensuring students stay on task and engaged.
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work alongside students and teachers to support learning, sometimes working 1:1 with students, small groups or classrooms to encourage students to reach their full potential.
✨ We’re looking for people who:

Are confident working with secondary-aged students (11–16)
-
Can manage behaviour positively and fairly
-
Are adaptable, proactive, and great at building rapport
-
Have some experience working with young people (in schools, coaching, youth work, tutoring etc.)
-
Are fully available Monday–Friday and have access to a vehicle
-
Hold or are willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS
You might also have:
-
Previous classroom or school-based experience
-
An interest in pursuing a career in teaching or education
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
