Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, Contract

Salary: £57.00 to £65.00 per day

The Head Teacher of a average sized secondary school based in the Leyland area looking to recruit 2 Cover Supervisors and several Teaching Assistants for ongoing placements. Applicants for these positions must be flexible as if you are not required at this particular school you may be required to work in another school based in the local area. The role of a Cover Supervisor is very varied but in particular you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering pre-set work as set by the class teacher / department.
  • Facilitating the learning of the subject by assisting the students where necessary.
  • Manging behaviour in line with the schools behaviour management policy.
  • Reporting any safeguarding concerns / incidents to the safeguarding lead in school.
  • Collecting work at the end of the lesson and ensuring classrooms are left neat and tidy.

Experience of working within a school/classroom setting or with young people is desirable although not essential if you have worked in with children or young people in a supervisory capacity and can provide references to support this.

These roles are offered on an ad-hoc basis however for the right person they can become permanent.
