Cover Supervisor

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking day-to-day cover supervisors and Long term cover supervisors in the Hastings area and surrounding areas.

• Ideal for aspiring secondary school teachers

• Work in a range of schools across Bexhill

• Earn up to GBP300 per week and gain experience

Musts:

• Be able to work from 8.30am-15.30pm weekdays

• A child only workforce DBS on the update service or willing to pay for a new child only DBS (GBP40) and then subscribe to the update service (GBP13)

• No recent criminal convictions/cautions.

• Have a full original birth certificate, full driving licence and/or valid passport.

  -If from outside the UK a right to work VISA.

• Able to provide two proofs of address (Accepted documents attached)

As a cover supervisor your role and responsibilities will include:

• Covering lessons in the absence of the timetabled teacher.

• Supervising the delivery of the cover work by effectively communicating the work set to students.

• Ensuring the required resources needed in order to effectively deliver the covered lessons are available.

• Managing the behaviour of pupils whilst they are undertaking set work to ensure a positive learning environment.

• Responding to any questions from pupils about process and procedures.

• Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies in accordance with school policy and procedures.

• Collecting completed work after lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher

• Reporting back as appropriate, using the school's standard procedures on the behaviour of pupils during the class, and any issues arising.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
