Cover Supervisor – Oldham – Full Time Position

Full time position for a Cover Supervisor to join a supportive and welcoming secondary school in Oldham

Due to the increased need for external cover and planned and unplanned absences increasing in recent months, our client school in Oldham are seeking a Cover Supervisor to join the school on a full time basis to cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher and deliver pre set lesson plans. The school would like to see interested Cover Supervisors at the earliest convenience, with the aim of them beginning their induction into the school before the Easter break.

Situated a short distance from the Hollinwood Interchange off the M60 ring road, our client school is a well established secondary school with a great reputation in the local community. With a recently appointed Head Teacher the school is continuously improving in a number of standards which has paid dividends in overall academic performance and the strong climate for learning. With a recent multi million pound investment, the school has state of the art facilities resulting in excellent provisions for teaching and learning throughout.

The school would like to hear from anybody with previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or anybody with similar transferable experience, such as those who have worked as a Teaching Assistant or have previous experience in a secondary school setting or in a different capacity supporting young people. As well as this we would like to hear from any recent graduates or those who are considering a career in education and would like to gain hands on experience as a Cover Supervisor before enrolling on a PGCE or similar Teacher Training Programme.
