Cover Supervisors - Wigan

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a number of Cover Supervisors for Secondary schools within the Wigan LEA this academic year. We are seeking to appoint experienced Cover Supervisors or Graduates considering a career as a teacher in the future in order to fulfil requests for both flexible and long-term requirements within a number of our client Secondary schools.

  • Flexible Cover Supervisor work in Wigan
  • Working within Secondary schools with pupils aged pupils (11-16)
  • Ideal opportunity for any Graduates considering a career as a teacher in the future

  • Earn between £1000 - £1200 per month whilst gaining invaluable experience towards a career in Secondary education

The role of a Cover Supervisor will require you to deliver pre planned lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher to their students. It will be crucial that you are flexible and able to get involved with students delivering engaging lessons on a regular basis.

You must have good behaviour management skills and be confident when leading a classroom of students and be able to manage of the behaviour of the class effectively. It is your responsibility to ensure that all students remain engaged within the lesson and are on task and completing the pre-set work by the teacher.

The Cover Supervisor role will perfectly suit Graduates and individuals who are considering a teaching career in the future as well as those experienced working with young people. This opportunity will provide you with an invaluable introduction into a number of schools where you can gain key experience within schools in the local area, help you build your teaching portfolio and will potentially open up a number of opportunities for a long term position.
